Very stiff flex.... By: Never-the-less, on November 17, 2018 Pros: Cons: "It is a good soldering iron, it heats up quickly and with the two settings it is good and hot, and even hotter too. Alas the mains cable (flex) is so stiff and wilful it makes it impossible to put the iron down safely and the useless flimsy featherweight stand provided is easily swept away by the stubbornness of the unbending flex! Also the listing and packaging say "Features knurled collar for quick and convenient tip replacement" - There is no knurled anything provided. |

Works really well By: Amazon Customer, on January 2, 2014 Pros: Cons: "I purchased this as a replacement for a Antex 100W iron which was a total failure (the plating fell of the tip after a single use and it had to be returned). Having searched around for a suitable low cost iron It appears that most irons above 30W are of poor quality and really large. This was purchased for stained glass work and its great to have the two power settings. Its only been used a few times but so far so good. It's also a sensible size and weight to handle |
