It is incredibly strong (with its fairly heavy weight being the trade-off) and I am sure it will protect my commuter bike at the train station. The lock comes with 3 keys and a holder to attach to your bicycle frame when not in use. To remove the lock from the holder, you press a button on the side of the holder and the lock slides off very smoothly so no trouble at all removing or reattaching the lock to the holder.
