On the one hand, the ridges at the narrow end give a good, if slightly uncomfortable, grip in the hand. On the other hand, it's bloody useless for bringing down a mammoth. It's made of plastic, so just shatters on impact. I wish I had paid more attention to the product description and sent off for something more suitable such as a tree branch or the jawbone of an ass.
