Poor manufacturing process and abyssmal public relations By: A. F. Murphy, on December 2, 2015 Pros: Cons: "I bought this machine as an 'improvement' over my lathe mounted disc sander. It is very much more convenient, very heavy and quiet and efficient in use. However there are two flaws in design/ manufacturer:- the guard is proud of the disc and results in a tapered cut for fine-tuning tenons etc. the mitre slide is so sloppy in its use it requires duck-tape wrapped it to produce an accurate cut. A useful sander that works just fine By: Graham, on April 19, 2015 Pros: Cons: "First one arrived with a cracked case. I suspect transporting these is tricky. They are heavy and cast iron doesn't like shocks. Amazon, as always provided a replacement with superb efficiency. The sander works just fine, although the disk brake could be better (and should be automatic). The general finish to the product is weak and better examples (in my opinion) can be found elsewhere. But - I bought this on a Amazon Deal so it was cheaper than others. I would give it 3* at normal price, but 4*... |
