What attracted me to this product is the fact that it is powered by a wind-up generator (not pictured). This means that you never have to worry about flat batteries. The robust generator is a little larger than matchbox size and is connected to the lamp by a wire which has 2 connectors which appear to be the same but in fact fitted better one way than the other.
