`going through steel like butter`. By: Mr. Barrie Davies, on November 17, 2017 Pros: Cons: "I have read the reviews and purchased the drill bits thinking they would be the answer to drilling metal window lintels in order to fit curtain poles. No such luck, it was a real grind and took an age to gain sufficient depth to insert a rawl plug. Unless I am doing something wrong, I find it difficult to understand how this product has achieved a `best seller` status. One reviewer even stated, `going through steel like butter`.....don't like giving negative reviews, however, got to be honest. |

These are perfectly adequate for occasional use; they are significantly better quality than cheap bits but not on a par with professional quality (i.e Irwin). |

Key is to go slowly and not too much pressure so you burn the drill also if making large holes start with small size and work your way up.Very good for price. Good sizes and top quality. Very handy case. |
